Welcome to Salon Comedor, the exquisite restaurant nestled within the Parador de Oropesa, located in the charming town of Oropesa, Toledo. A culinary gem, this restaurant showcases the finest traditional Spanish cuisine, emphasizing the rich flavors and ingredients native to the western region of Toledo province.

The menu is a delightful homage to local culinary traditions, with game meats such as deer, wild boar, and partridge taking center stage. These specialties promise a truly authentic experience, capturing the essence of rustic Spanish fare. Don't miss the chance to indulge in the glorious cured meats and a variety of local cheeses, each plate presenting a beautiful tapestry of taste that speaks volumes about the region’s gastronomic heritage.

As you step into the dining area, you're greeted by a breathtaking ambience that enhances your culinary journey. The spacious and luminous dining room is adorned with beautiful decor, offering stunning views of the Sierra de Gredos. Imagine savoring your meal as the natural light floods in, creating an inviting warmth, while your eyes take in the picturesque landscape—a perfect backdrop for any dining occasion.

Guests have praised the attentive and friendly service, ensuring that your dining experience is not just a meal, but a warm, welcoming event. José Luis Varea Perdiguer reminisced about his return to this enchanting place, highlighting the spectacular views he enjoyed while dining, especially with a table set to admire the snow-capped mountains.

The culinary adventure here is not limited to lunch and dinner; the breakfast is equally praiseworthy. A review from David Gonzalez mentions a varied buffet featuring local sweets and cured meats that start your day on the right note. Whether you choose to dine inside or on the charming terrace, Salon Comedor promises an exceptional feast for both the palate and the senses.

However, it's important to note that prices reflect the high quality and exquisite location, with some reviews mentioning the high cost of certain items, such as bread. Yet, the overall experience—rich, flavorful food, fantastic service, and breathtaking views—leaves diners feeling that every euro spent was worth it.

In summary, Salon Comedor at Parador de Oropesa not only serves delicious meals but creates cherished memories against a backdrop of stunning natural beauty. Whether you are visiting for a charming meal or a sophisticated celebration, this restaurant is a go-to destination for anyone looking to indulge in the delights of traditional Spanish cuisine.

The restaurant at Parador de Oropesa is always a safe bet for traditional Spanish cuisine from the west part of Toledo province. Game and in particular deer, wild boar and partridge are the specialties. Also worth trying the cured meats and local cheese varieties. Service is attentive and friendly. The setting is breathtaking, the dining room itself is spacious, luminous, offering great views of Gredos mountains and with tall ceilings crossed by wood beams and paneling; and the premises are part of a rustic palace with a visitable castle next door. Good value for money.

The ambience was very calm and nice, very pretty interiors/decoration and the food incredible, staff were nice and the little details such as the olive oil plate were great.
